Here are some frequently asked questions we get from our customers prior to us fitting their CCTV system.
The answer to this question is YES you can. A lot of old CCTV cameras used to have unreliable sensors inside them to trigger an alarm, or you would have to wire a better sensor on to the camera for a more reliable response from it, which looked a mess.
The CCTV cameras that we install today are of a much higher quality and have built in analytics that can defer from a false alarm from an animal to somebody trying to break in.
Most of our cameras can tell the difference from an animal or something blowing around in front of the lens to an actual vehicle or someone on your property. Meaning you can receive real notifications and alerts to your phone when somebody is on your property as opposed to constant false ones.
Once we have completed an installation of CCTV cameras, we always show you how to use your system. I mean, we pride ourselves on our customer care and we are always on the end of the phone with guidance 12 hours a day. However, you want to be in control of your own system too right? So we provide you with the knowledge and the tools to do so.
Providing there is internet access in your home or business, then YES you can. All we need to be able to do to get you viewing your CCTV remotely and abroad is a direct connection from your recorder to your router. And even if there is no internet access at your home or business premises where you are wanting the CCTV system installing, then fear no more! CCTVisible will supply and fit a 4G router for you, and of course you can use this router for multiple other devices as well as your CCTV.
There are some brands of cameras that do doorbell cameras and floodlight cameras that can be installed front and back of your property. Don't get us wrong they are quite nifty, cheap and do the job right? Well, most of the time with these cameras you have to pay a monthly cost to the company to store your footage on their cloud.
With hard wired CCTV systems you have your own storage backed up onto a hard drive or SD card, which is a one off payment with your system, these alternative cameras might seem cheap at first but in the long run may end up costing you more. A lot of these cameras also only record on motion, meaning you have bits of recordings but not 24 hours a day which means you could miss something vital. Sometimes a cheaper alternative is not always the best.
At CCTVisible we pride ourselves on top notch workmanship and fantastic customer care. When you're spending money on a security system you want it to be done once and once only. You need to pick a company with great testimonials and even galleries of their work so you can see exactly how they do it, like we have on our gallery page or on any of our social media pages.
We have built a great client base around us and have heard nothing but good feedback, so we thought we would start with these blog posts to give back. We plan to do videos on tips, tricks and reviews of products to give you everything you need to know before buying a CCTV system.
